We believe that our responders throughout North America are the finest in

the world and that, without a doubt, they have, and will continue to,

respond with the utmost in efficiency, speed and deliberation to both

natural and man-made disasters.  We also believe that these responders are

grossly outnumbered by the general public, and therefore, by creating a

more resilient and prepared community, family and individual, we are

therefore supporting these responders by creating less need in times of

disaster or distress.

We believe that with more education, we will need less response.

The Whirlwind Foundation was established as a non-partisan North American

educational foundation in order to support the efforts of the Chasing4Life

Educational Team. The Whirlwind Foundation traces its origins back to 2004

when it was originally created as The Restoration Project.

In 2004, after observing the vulnerability of America's communities during

disaster, Whirlwind's founders attempted to create an organization that

would create a bridge between available educational materials and

programming to the American public at a "street level". Upon establishing

national tours that focused on severe weather safety and disaster

preparedness, the founders realized that more programs would be needed to

meet the organization's goals.

Now, with over one hundred active and available programs, The Chasing4Life

Educational Team is reaching literally tens of thousands each year with

practical and effective educational programming covering topics and

concerns such as severe weather, climate change, earthquakes, terrorism,

agroterrorism, bioterrorism, infectious diseases, pandemics, hurricanes,

post-disaster traumatic stress, children in disaster, vulnerable

populations in disasters, weather forecasting, school crisis planning,

disaster response and recovery, hazardous materials, agricultural safety

and many more.

The goals of The Whirlwind Foundation include perpetuating the goals and

financially assisting the efforts of the Chasing4Life Educational Team as

the team grows in size and stature.  TWF hopes to partner with educational

organizations throughout North America, advocating viable programming that

will aid in creating more resilient communities.

The Whirlwind Foundation is organized and shall be operated exclusively

for charitable and educational purposes as an outreach of Pure Heart

Ministries of Lake In The Hills, Illinois.

The Whirlwind Foundation will assist in the creation, development,

management and provision of educational programming that promote disaster

preparedness, disaster awareness, disaster mitigation and threat

mitigation.

The Whirlwind Foundation will assist The Chasing4Life Educational Team in

educating the public regarding the needs, benefits and opportunities 

presented by Chasing4Life, its team and its programming.

The Whirlwind Foundation will develop funding opportunities to support the

efforts of The Chasing4Life Educational Team, to make programming

available to a larger audience and to scholarship organizations wishing to

participate in educational tours despite lack of direct funding.

The Whirlwind Foundation will collaborate and provide access to funding,

when available, necessary and appropriate to other educational entities

with the same or similar purposes and goals as Chasing4Life.
