It takes some pretty incredible people to do all that Chasing4Life accomplishes each year around the country. From nationwide educational tours to disaster recovery and response, from program creation to professional training and consultation, the Chasing4Life Team is a passionate, dedicated and energetic group of experienced professionals.
Why does this team work so diligently? This team believes that we can change the world. They believe that with more education we will need less response. They believe that our responders across the United States deserve more than our thanks; they deserve more resilient and educated communities. They believe that the children in our communities have the potential to solve the problems we struggle with every day and that their potential is the greatest of any generation yet.
This team is not only a group of educators. The Chasing4Life team is an experienced group of disaster responders, many with years and years of experience in disaster response, emergency response and even animal rescue. They are trainers, prepared to take their knowledge, energy and expertise to any point on the map to train volunteers before or in the midst of disaster.
This team is dedicated to promoting education and those institutions that offer education of any kind. They are a unique group of mixed personalities, character and visions. They come from different generations and backgrounds, each with a drive to see their efforts become a catalyst for change. They have seen America's communities at their best, and have seen them at their worst.
At the heart of the team you will find individuals who have been instrumental in creating Chasing4Life and The Whirlwind Foundation. One of those individuals is Cathy who tirelessly has managed operations for the organization for years, directed disaster resonse operations, trained staff and has been active in severe weather monitoring through ice storm after hurricane after tornado.
After years at the helm of the C4L Tracking Center and working disaster recovery operations and logistics, Brandi has emerged on tour as an educator/presenter/keynote and is presently touring the country. Brandi's background in homeschool education has melded well with Chasing4Life's educational focus while her expertise in severe weather monitoring has made her an excellent choise for special training events around the country.
Cheyenne is a tribute to what education and commitment can accomplish. At age 17, Cheyenne already has a long history in disaster response volunteering, severe weather monitoring, photography and public speaking. Cheyenne toured with Chasing4Life throughout hundreds of schools and libraries throughout the States before returning to public school herself as a student where she is completing her Senior year. Cheyenne is still quite active with the team's disaster response and educational efforts and will be touring sporadically throughout the 2010-2011 tour seasons.
